The origin of the name Atlas comes from Greek mythology. According to the legend, Atlas could not stand it any longer and attacked Olympos, which persecuted people. However, Poseidon helps Olympos. Angered by a Titan attacking the Gods, Zeus punishes Atlas by placing the world on his shoulders. Decisions and responsibilities taken at a manager’s desk, shapes the outcome. In our opinion, the main design theme of the table was transferred to the lines – the abstracted image of a human figure carrying the weight of the world with both hands. The steel table leg demonstrats form and functionality as well as strength. The feeling of full and emptiness creates a different perspective from different angles. The blunt corners on the table surface and feet are based on the idea that nothing in the world is sharp. The masterfully combined metal construction reveals a younger and more dynamic design language of the intersections. While the table leg structure offers us many different options, the interlocking leg design will provide a visual richness with color choices.
